A very happy Easter to you!

Happy Easter, everyone! We hope that you and you're loved ones are having a safe and joyous weekend and are enjoying the Lord's blessings. We are certainlly grateful for all that we have been given here, out on the prairie, and are looking forward to what this spring and summer have in store for us.

Although we didn't get much construction done during the winter, thankfully the weather was relatively mild and not too severe. The early depature of the snow has allowed us to get back to work on the house and, hopefully, we'll be living in it full time very soon.

We were able to get a few things done over the winter. We got the propane lines installed for the stove/oven, on demand hot water heater and back-up space heater. We got a start on the plumbing by running water lines between the water tank sinks and shower. We moved the solar battery bank and charge controllers over from the RV. Then we ran some wiring and got our LED ceiling lights and the on-demand water pump installed. And we were able to get the OSB up on the interior walls. Not to mention, we did spend some time cutting firewood, too.

This week, we've been working on getting the panels up for the ceiling. Once the ceiling panels are up, we will then work on installing the windows we picked up a month or so ago.

So, even though there wasn't much going on, here on the blog, we were making progress on the house - bit by bit. We really have to ramp things up now, though, because gardening season will begin very soon and we have new chickens arriving in a few weeks. Things are about to get busy, here out on the homestead.

But he was pierced for our transgressions;
he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
and with his wounds we are healed.

Isaiah 53:5
