Windows are finally in

It was a wonderful way to celebrate the return to spring-time; we finally got the windows installed in the cottage! What a difference that makes. The cottage is really looking like a home, now.

The instsallation was actually pretty easy, as we ordered windows to fit in between the wall joists. So, all I really had to do was build the windows sills, cut the holes in the exterior plywood and top off the windows with an additional brace between the joists.

Once we get the exterior siding up on the house, we'll be making shutters for the windows, for when the stormy winds blow - and out here, boy do they blow.

We also got the celing panels up, as well. So construction is moving along well. Next, we'll be working on getting the interior wall panels up and the flooring down. But, that will wait a little bit, as we need to do some preparations for our newly hatched chickens - which we'll be picking up at the end of this week - and a bit of work on tilling the garden.

More updates to come very soon.
